Shipping & Receiving

• Provide support to store management to supervise, train, and coordinate the activities of the shipping and receiving team.
• Ensure the department maintains a consistent work flow throughout the day.
• Maintain administrative functions to ensure all paperwork is processed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Assist with the review of work assignments and employee scheduling to ensure business needs are met.
• Review work tickets, bills of ladings, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet necessary schedules.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
• Notify management of any materials that appear defective or questionable
• Record shortages, lost shipments, etc., and report missing items to management or the buying office.
• Accurately prepare items for shipment; determine the best method of shipment.
• Prepare or assemble containers for item shipment.
• Process incoming receipts, i.e., unpack, prep hangers, steam, etc.
• May operate a tier-lift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the department to storage or work areas.
• Respond promptly to company email correspondence.
• Follow loss prevention, department policies, procedures, objectives, and safety procedures as directed by store management or corporate.
• Ensure all back areas are clean, organized, and maintained.
• Maintain professional and supportive relationships with fellow team members, providing backup to other employees as the needs of the business dictate.
• Assist with recurring physical inventory, as requested.
• Additional responsibilities may be added as the needs of the business evolve.

Order Fulfillment

• Proactively monitor and print online order requests for fulfillment throughout shift.
• Collect merchandise throughout the store and match to orders with accuracy and speed.
• Farfetch Orders: once stock is located, transfer merchandise, ensure accurate processing in Runit/STORM, remove store security sensors, attach security tags and print shipping documents.
• Tootsies E-COMM Orders: once stock is located, transfer merchandise, ensure accurate processing in Sqquid, remove store security sensors, attach security tags and print shipping documents.
• Print shipping labels for e-commerce orders utilizing Sqquid.
• Verify that all outgoing merchandise is in excellent condition and have complete brand packaging/presentation.
• Prepare/assemble containers for item shipment.

Physical Demands:

• Speaking/Hearing: Ability to communicate information to customers.
• Standing: Remain upright on feet for sustained periods of time.
• Walking: Ability to move throughout the store.
• Flexibility including bending, stretching and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, ability to move/carry product.
• Visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
• Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years previous experience in shipping & receiving, warehousing, or inventory control required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of UPS, FedEx operations.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to deal with changing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidate must exhibit a strong sense of professionalism, courtesy and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule for a retail business, including nights, weekends, store events, etc.

Education:

• High School education or equivalent.
