Location: Carson, CA (temporary) → Ontario, CA (expected to start June 29, 26)

We are seeking a Shipping / Receiving Lead who can operate as both a hands-on floor lead and a shipping coordinator.

This role is responsible for leading daily shipping and receiving activities on the warehouse floor, while also managing shipping documentation, carrier coordination, and system accuracy.

This is a working lead position — you will be on the dock, interacting with drivers and warehouse staff, while also handling shipping paperwork and communication.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily shipping and receiving operations on the warehouse floor
  • Coordinate dock activities, trailer flow, and warehouse areas
  • Assign tasks and priorities to shipping/receiving staff
  • Verify outbound shipments for correct items, quantities, pallet counts, and labels
  • Receive inbound freight and containers; verify against POs / packing lists
  • Identify and resolve shortages, damages, and discrepancies
  • Act as the on-site point of contact when Supervisor is unavailable
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies and procedures
  • Keep dock and staging areas clean, organized, and efficient
  • Train team members on shipping, receiving, and safety standards
  • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy with Inventory Control
  • Identify process improvements to reduce errors and delays

Job description:

  • Create shipping Coordination & Documentation
  • Prepare and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping labels, and paperwork
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and freight providers
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries based on cutoff times and priorities
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in WMS / ERP systems
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues to internal teams
  • Maintain organized shipping and receiving records

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in shipping and receiving operations
  • Hands-on experience working on a warehouse floor / dock
  • Experience coordinating shipments, carriers, and shipping documents
  • Familiarity with BOLs, palletizing, and dock procedures
  • Experience with RF scanners, WMS and/or ERP systems
  • Forklift experience (sit-down / reach preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Ontario, CA

Preferred

  • Lead or senior shipping/receiving experience
  • Experience with LTL / FTL / container receiving
  • Inventory control or cycle count experience
  • Bilingual: English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred)
  • Ability to communicate with overseas vendors, internal teams, or documentation in Chinese is a plus
  • Ability to train and guide other warehouse staff
