Job description

Shipping / Receiving Supervisor

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Shipping / Receiving Supervisor for a company based in Columbia, Tennessee. A production associate plays an important role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of a manufacturing department. As a production associate, you will assemble various parts of a product, following precise instructions to ensure correct assembly.

Pay Rate
$45,000 - $50,000 / year

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Overtime is required. Weekend work as needed.

Shipping / Receiving Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train shipping/receiving clerks on processes and equipment
  • Coordinate daily workflow, ensuring orders are picked, staged, and shipped on time
  • Enforce quality standards, SOPs, and 5S practices
  • Monitor productivity, time usage, and process timekeeping in KRONOS
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety procedures
  • Track KPIs and adjust operations to meet performance goals
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Hold employees accountable through coaching and disciplinary action when needed
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and other departments to meet customer needs
  • Lead the team and make effective operational decisions
Shipping / Receiving Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations, with leadership preferred
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, SOPs, and safety standards
  • Experience with timekeeping systems (KRONOS or similar)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage performance metrics and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
