Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and receiving operations while actively contributing alongside the team. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing team supervision with direct operational work.

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound material flow, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory movements, and driving continuous improvement in shipping and receiving processes. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, meeting customer expectations, and supporting overall supply chain performance.

This is a working supervisor position, meaning you will spend a significant portion of your time performing shipping and receiving tasks while guiding and supporting your team.

 
  • Supervise and support daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials
  • Work alongside team members to load, unload, verify, and process incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Verify materials against purchase orders, invoices, bills of lading, and customer orders for accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including time, date, quantity, source, and destination
  • Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies involving damaged goods, shortages, or weight differences
  • Monitor team performance, provide day-to-day direction, and support employee development
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety policies, and quality standards
  • Evaluate current shipping/receiving processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation and reporting related to shipping activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, inventory control, and customer service

The US base salary range for this position is $ 64,890.00 - $ 81,120.00 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the compensation target for the role across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 2-4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, documentation, and inventory control practices
  • Ability to lead by example while performing hands-on operational work
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and team leadership abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems is a plus
