Job description

This fast paced role at Bliss Manufacturing in Ponca City, Oklahoma will consist of Shipping and Receiving responsibilities as your main duties while learning to also support Material Handling and other Warehouse duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; check against supplier’s count and immediately report quantity or other discrepancies to carrier, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy 
  • Label materials with part number and quantity
  • Verify and record all items loaded for shipments
  • Notify supervisor of discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions 
  • Transport material to and from shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed 
  • Load trucks using a forklift
  • Pull inventory based on customer demand. Package items and prep for shipment to customer
  • Release Shop Packets, issue and pull materials for shipping and assembly
  • Help the team achieve aftermarket and new equipment shipment goals as defined by monthly sales targets
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments to understand and support timeline of required shipment dates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received 
  • Basic understanding of dock, and warehouse procedures
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • SAPB1 or other MRP/ERP software a plus
  • Fork truck safety is required
