Job Description
We are seeking a Tig/ Laser Welder to become an integral part of our team! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
Responsibilities:
- Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
- Select torch, torch tips, filler rod and flux according to welding chart.
- Connects regulator valves and performs welding operations.
- Adjusts regulator valves and performs welding operations.
- Examines welds for bead size and other specifications.
- Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
- Cleans or degreases parts as necessary.
Requirements:
- One Year Certificate from college or technical school.
- Three to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Ability to use calipers, tap measure, rulers, and protractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part routers.
