Job description

Job Summary

The Punch/Laser Supervisor oversees machine operations, including loading, material handling, and processing activities. This role ensures the efficient functioning of warehouse staff and operations, adhering to safety and productivity standards.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities   

  • Accomplish Manufacturing Staff Results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains punch/laser shop staff by selecting, orienting and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repair and the evaluation of equipment.
  • Perform daily safety observations, ensure PPE compliance and drive daily safety culture.
  • Ensures accuracy of employee timecards and managed personnel PTO requests.
  • Drives quality initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of material processing.
  • Experience in fabrication, punch or laser processing.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
  • Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday 2:30pm – 11:00pm.
  • Required to work some Saturdays.
