JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain our computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality parts from various materials (e.g., metal, plastic, wood) according to engineering drawings and specifications while ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical diploma or certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
Additional training in blueprint reading, CAD/CAM, quality inspection, automation programming or mechanical systems is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field, including 2 years operating CNC laser cutting machines (fiber laser preferred).
Prior experience with laser cutting systems and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and work orders required.
ERP software experience preferred.
Forklift or pallet jack operation experience a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish/English read, write, and speak) preferred.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and CAD drawings.
Major knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., G-code) and CAD/CAM or nesting software.
Strong understanding of laser machine setup parameters — including power, speed, and focus — for precise cutting.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong mathematical ability for layout accuracy, geometry, and process calculations.
