SUMMARY
The Business Analyst - Project Management Office (PMO), as a member of the CDI Corporate IT Project Management Team, provides guidance and consultation to key stakeholders to help improve their business needs and processes. The Business Analyst - PMO will perform tasks including but not limited to; elicit, analyze, specify, and validate data; interviewing stakeholders; gather and compile business requirements to understand the technological solutions the business needs; present findings to business leaders. The Business Analyst - PMO will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT's understanding of business requirements and help the business make good technical decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
REGULATORY
Ability to obtain racing and/or gaming licenses as required in any jurisdiction where CDI operates. The Gaming industry is highly regulated and as such demands an extensive background check to obtain a license.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

The Business Analyst - PMO will perform tasks including but not limited to; elicit, analyze, specify, and validate data; interviewing stakeholders; gather and compile business requirements to understand the technological solutions the business needs; present findings to business leaders. The Business Analyst - PMO will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT's understanding of business requirements and help the business make good technical decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Collaborate with project requestors and sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Clearly identify project stakeholders and establish business and technical requirements.
- Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or leveraging these processes.
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, and feasibility.
- Develop and utilize standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely.
- Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years' related work experience required.
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Exceptional presentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate and influence the decision-making process without direct authority.
- Superb recordkeeping, documentation, time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in business process modeling and vendor relationship management.
- Strong technical skills including data analysis and project cost estimation.
- Adequate understanding of Waterfall Methodology.
- Highly adaptable to rapid change.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA Certification preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification(s) preferred.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping preferred.
- Experience with ERP Business Process Mapping preferred.
