Job Description: The Quality Assurance Assistant Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and will provide weekly reports of the systemic metrics on the Quality Assurance Program by incorporating Lean-Six Sigma methodology and systems to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance using ISO 9001 best practices. Successful candidate will be required to develop a Quality Management Program complete with metrics, attribute criteria, audit schedules, training, checklists, and management oversight and surveillance on work processes and contractual objectives and requirements of the company. Other job duties and responsibilities may also evolve from continual improvement initiatives from program development.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provide Quality Assurance specifically to the HOMS/COMS surveillance program.
- Develop and implement internal processes required to ensure the completion of contract deliverables per the PWS.
- Monitor standards for government acceptance of work.
- Document all Standard Operation Procedures, re-evaluate & update, as necessary.
- Attend weekly staff meetings with the HOMS/COMS Project Manager to brief status of Quality Assurance Surveillance Program.
- Present updates to Operations Manager, Area Manager, and GPDB management committee if requested.
- Provide statistical data for effective planning in conformance with the Project Work Statement as needed and no later than monthly to the Operations Manager.
- Provide resolutions to current Quality Control program if needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge in Lean-Six-Sigma.
- Experience in basic audit methodology.
- Able to utilize several Microsoft Word platforms and applications to develop detailed spreadsheets and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree desired.
- 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- 3 years' experience working with the federal government or Department of Defense.
- Must be able to obtain Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification.
- Must be able to obtain OSHA-30 Hour in General Industry or Construction or 40-Hour USACE EM385-1-1 Training.
- Must be able to operate a camera.
- Exceptional skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
