Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial for the planning and preparation of our roofing projects, ensuring they are ready for execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing or general construction management, excellent organizational skills, and a strong capability for coordinating multiple project elements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with estimators to understand project scopes and budgets, ensuring all project details are accurately transitioned from the estimation phase to project setup.

• Coordinate with building owners, architects, engineers, and clients to finalize project designs and ensure compliance with local building codes and client specifications.

• Manage the permitting process, including the submission of necessary documents and follow-up with local authorities.

• Schedule and participate in internal pre-construction meetings with project teams to outline project plans, timelines and other logistics.

• Organize and prepare project documentation, including contracts, project plans, and compliance certificates.

• Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects, ensuring timely delivery aligned with project schedules.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management plans to identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, pre-construction progress, and any challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or roofing, with a focus on pre-construction activities.

• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction processes, and legal regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with clients and subcontractors.
