Software Engineering Program Manager

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and technically strong Software/Embedded Program Manager to join their rapidly growing global team. In this role, you can work on cutting-edge technologies and experiences that will transform the driving experience. The software PMs will report to the PMO Manager and will be responsible for managing multiple projects and customer interfaces.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Coordinate cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and release high-quality software projects on time

– Drive the development and delivery of enabling technologies and innovative customer experiences

– Manage software delivery risks, requirements, and architectural convergence across teams

– Build strong relationships with technical experts, stakeholders, and senior leadership

– Experience in building a PMO and deploying project management processes

– Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects as the sole owner of all deliverables as well as problems

**Required Skills and Experience:**

– Minimum five years of project management experience in a related industry

– Excellent leadership, negotiation, and critical thinking abilities

– Experience managing firmware suppliers and third-party development partners

– Prior software development and test experience with embedded applications, C/C++, MATLAB, or Python

– Familiarity with Agile methodologies and hybrid Agile/Waterfall approaches

– Automotive software background and understanding of embedded systems

– PMP Certification is highly desired

– Automotive and ASPICE experience is a plus

– This is a customer-facing role, which requires an appropriate level of presentation skills

**Education:**

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline; Master’s degree preferred
