Job Description

We are in search of a Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, DIRECT HIRE, B Shift for a very busy and growing manufacture east of Rochester offering great career potential.

Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor will:

Direct and coordinate personnel and activities in a fast paced and vibrant contract manufacturing environment.
Be responsible for meeting schedules, production goals, directing and motivating employees.
Assist Plant Manager in many areas and support operation of machines and equipment.

Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor Responsibilities will include:

Improve upon and ensure and safety policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure Lean manufacturing principles and quality plans are followed and quality of product manufactured meets customer standards.
Responsible for mentoring and training operators on equipment, policies and procedures.
Address all problems and find resolutions and assist in maintenance of equipment.
Maintain schedules, distribute workload, and maintain in computer system.
Interview, hire, train, mentor, counsel staff and complete performance reviews.

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced contract or precision machining manufacturing environment.

Must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to promote a positive working environment.

Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office, and MRP/ERP or SAP software.

Must have excellent verbal and written skills to write reports, work instructions, policies etc.

Excellent problem-solving abilities required.

Must have good Blue Print reading abilities and good inspection skills and use of measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, gauges etc.

Must have precision metal manufacturing and knowledge of welding, punch press and press brake experience.

Must have excellent shop math skills.

Education requirements include High school diploma or GED. 2 year or 4 year degree preferred.
