Veterinary Assistant Fluent in Spanish - Experience Not Required

Full-time or Part-time Veterinary Technician or Assistant (Southwest Chicago) Abbot Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time or part-time veterinary technician or assistant for a 1-doctor, but rapidly growing, canine and feline practice on the southwest side of Chicago, west of Midway Airport. We are open to either experienced candidates or inexperienced candidates who are enthusiastic, hard-working, and eager to learn. Fluency in Spanish is required. Qualities that we are looking for include dedication to excellent patient and client care, dependability, punctuality, commitment to continual professional growth, and desire to pursue a long-term career in the veterinary field. Job skills that candidates should have or be ready to learn: -Monitoring and medical care of hospitalized patients -Anesthetic/surgical monitoring -Venipuncture -IV catheter placement and fluid administration -Obtaining diagnostic general and dental radiographs -Proper restraint of dogs and cats -Dental scaling, polishing, probing, and charting -Dental radiology -Cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment - -Ability to learn and use computerized medical records (our system is very user-friendly).
