Position Purpose
The Training Specialist reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Training Manager. The Training Specialists must have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for learning and the ability to work independently. The position is responsible for developing, enacting, and leading training programs for the internal teams. The Specialist will need to be able to create training material and continuously update material, help maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), lead on-boarding training classes, and provide updates to management for statuses of trained employees. The position may also need to perform data analysis on training programs, coordinate with management and departments for process knowledge and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the goals of the Training department in ensuring delivery of best-in-class customer service
  • Create training material for internal departments for on-boarding new hire process and on-going training material
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs, content, and learning objectives
  • Update and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and other training technologies to facilitate training delivery, tracking, and reporting
  • Deliver training, in person, to newly hired agents for internal positions
  • Conduct training needs assessments, evaluations, and surveys to measure the effectiveness and impact of the training programs
  • Continuously learning mindset with internal teams to ensure knowledge transfer to trainees is complete
  • Proofreads various documentation for accuracy of information and presentation
  • Partner with HR and departmental leaders to support talent development initiatives, succession planning and performance improvement efforts
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training facilitation, and learning development roles
  • Strong understanding of soft skills training and presentation processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel and customers
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, achieve goals, organize and take pride in their work
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute or better
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working independently
  • High School graduate (college education preferred)
Preferences
  • College education preferred
  • Experience in system-based training (Salesforce)
  • Intermediate skills with video/audio editing software
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach above shoulders
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment
  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information
Scheduling (Bullet Points)
  • Full-Time position
  • Mondays thru Fridays, 8:00am to 4:30pm - Hybrid Remote (3 days in office unless otherwise specified)
  • In Person training
  • Schedule may change according to business operational needs
Environmental Factors
  • Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment, or, work is normally performed indoors in a typical office environment but may occasionally be required to perform work outdoors
  • Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment
Physical/Mental Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to lift 10 - 50 pounds at times.
