Acutronic is looking for a Project Controls Analyst to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for project control efforts to include project Estimates at Completion (EAC), cost and schedule management, and project financial forecasting. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an accounting, investment, or financial role. Acutronic’s Simulation & Test Division is the global market leader in the development, design, and manufacture of Inertial Guidance Test Systems and Hardware-In-the-Loop motion simulators. These high-precision motion simulators are used in the aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer electronics industries to test and calibrate inertial sensors (e.g., gyroscopes and accelerometers that measure movement); Inertial Navigation Systems; stabilized electro-optics; Electronic Stability Control systems; and the in-flight engagement scenarios of missiles. Systems include single- and multi-axis rate tables, flight motion simulators, and target motion simulators. The Division’s U.S.–based team also develops and refurbishes stabilized or gimbaled-platforms utilized in applications such as tracking mounts, gun turrets, and directed-energy systems.
 

Project Controls Analyst

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project management teams and senior management on various customer projects in an accounting, finance, and schedule related function
  • Promote financial awareness to the project team and provide financial and schedule inputs to the project execution plan
  • Support the project managers and sales team with proposal work to include preparing proposal schedules and generating customer cost and pricing documentation
  • Prepare, analyze, and effectively communicate actual financial results, forecasts, and budgets of assigned customer projects
  • Perform variance analysis by project for actual results to the forecasting and budgeting reports
  • Prepare project cost reports, for assigned projects, including EAC’s and project schedules
  • Establish, prepare, and analyze cost and schedule data on projects
  • Initiate cost-saving and process/efficiency improvements
  • Master and make improvements to the scheduling and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Propose solutions to problems to senior management
  • Identify problems and implement solutions as they relate to project cost and schedule
  • Calculate EVMS metrics, as required, for assigned customer projects
  • Calculate EAC’s and ETC’s for assigned customer projects
  • Monitor the lifecycles of all projects to include adherence to the procedures and tools for the successful proposing, initiating, planning, executing, and closure
  • Generate and publish the On Time Delivery Schedule and Manufacturing Priority Report

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an accounting, investment, or financial role
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering corporation
  • Experience with EVMS is a plus
