Banquet Bartender

To be responsible for the preparation of all permanent and portable bars operating within all banquets of the hotel. To serve beverages to guests in banquet rooms in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Breaking down and securing bar station and inventory at the end of the shift in accordance with hotel and Hilton Hotel Corporate standards.

• Proper and adequate set-up of a banquet bar. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, produce and any other necessary bar item based on the projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and sorting of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality and according to projected business
• Responsible for setting and removing safety Mat for movable bars when required in meeting rooms without carpet.
• Labeled all juices, fruits and other perishables to ensure quality and stores back up supplies needing refrigeration in prescribe containers for later use.
• Maintain stock and ensure product quality. Lock up and store beverage. Clean and sanitize work area and equipment.
• Conduct inventories at the start and end of an assigned function
• Greets guest/customers in a courteous and friendly manner
• Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standards ingredients recipes and practicing prudent portion control including the use of a “jigger”
• Check guest/customers for proper identification when applicable. Detect and act upon guest/customer intoxication as trained.
• Maintain cleanliness bar area, refrigeration and storage area
• Comply with health code standard at all times
• Scoop ice form ice bins, transport to service area and replenishes ice container for usage. The use of the scoop is a mandatory requirement in any ice handling practices.
• Receives guest/customer tickets from guest/customers in cash bars, makes any change needed, and verifies validity of tickets, boxes and empty liquor bottles.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items.
• Must attend and comply with any training required by law and by the company
• Perform general cleaning tasks adhering to health and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor such as assisting security with disorderly guest/customers.
• Polish glass and silverware.
• Responsible for bringing equipment to and from banquet area including beverages, portable bars and all equipment needed.
• Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guest/customers to ensure all laws are being followed.
• Must comply with Tip Reporting Procedures according to hotel and State regulations.
• Keep soiled linen separate from other items so it can be delivered to the laundry company.
• Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
• Maintain an open line of communication between guest/customers, management and service staff.
• Follows hotel standards for safety and security
• Assist co-workers.
• Greets guest/customer immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Attend to guest/customer requests.

• Attend training for team member.
• Comply with Health Department requirements at all times.
• Perform duties incidental or related to the duties set for the above.

Requirements:

• Able to stand for long period of hours
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
