Do you have experience working with Commercial Lines insurance? Are you looking for an opportunity to work on a growing book of business with a high-performing team? TrueNorth is looking for an Account Manager to join our Risk Management team in our Denver, Colorado office.

The Account Manager’s job is to perform duties and maintain quality service that supports our Risk Management accounts, including clients, insurance companies, and producers. This position is responsible for supporting a book of generalist and real estate accounts by managing renewals, marketing accounts and a large focus on client service.

This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with flexibility for a Hybrid schedule of Tuesday-Thursday in the office and Monday & Friday remote after the first 90 days.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately manage client accounts and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Assist in marketing and placing new business and/or renewal business while maintaining process per workflows
  • Ensure service levels are being met
  • Seek opportunities and take steps to increase knowledge of the industry, regulatory requirements, tools and resources available to assist clients
  • Answer questions from the producer and the service teams regarding accounts
  • Communicate with the clients and answer questions regarding provided policies and/or services
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and carriers, both internal and external
  • Meets with clients as needed or directed by the producer
  • Travel or visit insurance companies and/or clients, when necessary
  • Assist in the creation of materials needed for recurring client meetings
  • Continuously seek to identify opportunities & solutions that allow for more effective and efficient delivery of a top-quality client experience
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for niche and/or industry specialization
  • Coordinate & direct firm resources such as Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing, and/or Technology, when necessary
  • Manage book of business with a pro-active client service approach
  • Round out coverage for accounts in collaboration with the service team or independently, as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • High School diploma or GED required, two or four-year degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial insurance industry required
  • Property & Casualty Insurance license required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Understand the different processes/forms associated with the varying coverages and insurers  
  • Experience working with EPIC Agency Management Software preferred

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Colorado.

  • Colorado Hiring Range: This position is an Exempt role with a compensation of $70,000-90,000 annual salary. The pay will vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
    • TrueNorth also offers bonus compensation for this role.   In addition to your base compensation, you will have the opportunity to earn up to an additional 8% of your annual salary based on the performance of your individual goals and the goals of the firm.
