SINOMAX is Hiring a 2nd shift Assistant Production Supervisor

Position Summary

The purpose of the Assistant Production Supervisor is to assist the Production Supervisor, oversee and direct the staff, equipment, and processes of a production line on the production floor. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position will oversee scheduling and routine production activities, as well as provide first-line troubleshooting when problems arise.

Position Description

• Coordinate manufacturing operations and activities on a production line.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees.
• Hold self and team accountable to metrics and behaviors set by Sinomax.Identify and collaborate with the ProductionSupervisor to resolve bottlenecks in processes.Write schedules and assign employees to workstations.Supervise output and maintain production rates set forth for all machines.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed.
• Manage employee relations and appraise performance.
• Resolve conflicts.
• Facilitate and maintain a Team driven work environment. Ability to bring people to work in a Team environment.
• Support, collaborate with, and back up the Production Supervisor as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Approval

The Executive Team (CEO, Controller, Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, VP of Operations, Human Resources) will be involved in all hires. Team determines need, Human Resources will facilitate the process and select candidates, Controller will verify budget for the position. The position’s direct manager will also be part of the interviewing and decision-making process as well as a possible peer.

Position Requirements

• 1 + years supervisory experience
• Previous experience in a CPG manufacturing environment
• Strong analytic aptitude
• Ability to train and lead others
• Some postsecondary education preferred (college)
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
