Job Title: PAL Operations Director (PAL Director)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Summary:
The PAL Operations Director (PAL Director) will serve as a key leader overseeing multiple facets of the Dunn

Police Athletic & Activities League, Inc. This role encompasses program management, staff supervision, budget oversight, event coordination, facilities management, grant writing, and implementation. The PAL

Operations Director will also be responsible for reporting directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

1. Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate youth programs to align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure effective program delivery and participant engagement.

2. Staff Supervision:

  • Lead and supervise program staff, providing guidance, support, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities.

3. Budget Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and make recommendations for adjustments.

4. Event Coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate events, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with program objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance event impact.

5. Facilities Management:

  • Oversee facilities used for program activities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and improvements as needed.

6. Grant Writing and Implementation:

  • Identify grant opportunities and develop compelling grant proposals.
  • Ensure successful implementation of grants, meeting reporting and compliance requirements.

7. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Executive Director.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management Certification, Social Work, Business

Administration).

  • Minimum 3 years experience working for a nonprofit working in a related field and supervising staff
  • Proven experience in program management, staff supervision, budgeting, and grant writing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Salary and Benefits

  • $42,000 - $48,000 yr. negotiable depending on qualifications, experience, education, references
  • Currently offering IRA – Retirement Account 1%-3% salary Match
  • No health Insurance currently offered
  • Salary employee with sick time and vacation time
