Teen & Family Program Director

NOW HIRING! TEEN & FAMILY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking a full time Teen & Family Program Director to develop high quality, innovative programs that will grow the local impact by engaging teens & families by serving the Lake Community YMCA. SALARY RANGE: $36,000 - $41,000 per year

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in related field preferred or commensurate experience
• Demonstrated skills in customer service, communications, and programming (specifically for teen & families)
• Comfort and experience with event planning and organizing special events
• Prior supervisory or management experience
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and demonstrated professionalism in both attitude and appearance
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages, directs and coordinates family programs, including activities and special events
• Manages, directs and coordinates teen engagement programs including teen leaders, youth & government and after school & weekend special events.
• Expands programming within the communities in accordance with strategic and operating plans
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed
• Works with branch leadership teams to coordinate programming efforts to support teen & family engagement and provide a high-quality family experience for members
• Develops and maintains relationships with community partners, school administration, parent groups and other organizations
• Program and/or represent the YMCA at family focused community events
