We aim to become a staple in the community, known for our quick, friendly service and our delicious, handcrafted beverages. Our menu will feature sandwiches, salads, amazing cookies, and refreshing lemonades. We are looking to build a team of passionate individuals who share our commitment to quality and excellent customer service.

Position Summary:

The Cafe Assistant Manager oversees the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring that it is running efficiently, and providing customers with excellent service. The successful candidate manages staff, ensures that the cafe is properly stocked, and maximizes profitability. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for interacting with the public and a talent for creating positive customer experiences. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our cafe into a favorite local spot.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe

Hire and onboard new wait staff and baristas

Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment

Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure a seamless, efficient operation.

Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks)

Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service

Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy

Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

Requirements:

Outgoing and positive personality, with a passion for customer service

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Team player with excellent communication skills

Interest in coffee and drink preparation; prior experience is a plus but not required

Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends

Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to making Ridgerunner Cafe a success

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.50/hour.
