Compensation: $19-$21 per hour| Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shifts; varied. Must be available for any shift.
Opening shift: 6:00a - 2:30p
Second shift: 8:00a - 4:30p
Closing shift: 11:00a - 7:30p
Job Summary
As a Barista in this role, you'll provide friendly, efficient service to employees, visitors, and staff by preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items in a corporate setting. You'll maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, follow food safety standards, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced setting. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to support a positive experience for all guests.
What You'll Do
  • Operate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus).
  • Set up appropriate cashier bank.
  • Document cash received and charges made.
  • Identify customer needs and refer them to the appropriate department for follow-up when necessary.
  • Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
  • Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
  • Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies etc. for the coffee bar.
  • Stock refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.
  • Clean, sanitize, polish general work areas, this includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash.
  • Prepare and gather items needed for meal service.
  • Provide exceptional service to all guests.
  • Understand workplace standards for dress, behavior, and hygiene
  • Perform basic math (e.g., addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals)
  • Communicate clearly in English (spoken and written)
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
  • Follow time schedules for food prep and service
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 6 months previous experience in a customer service role
  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
