Summary/Objective:

The Service Department Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operation and growth of our service department, ensuring efficient dispatch, high-quality customer service, and the development of a skilled and effective team. This role involves strategic planning in collaboration with company leadership to enhance capacity and service quality.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1.    Operational Oversight:
•    Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of service activities.
•    Ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to customers.
•    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response times, service completion rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.
2.    Team Development:
•    Recruit, train, and supervise service department staff, including technicians, service advisors, and administrative personnel.
•    Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance technical skills and customer service abilities.
•    Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
3.    Customer Service Excellence:
•    Implement and uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
•    Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
•    Work to improve overall customer experience and retention rates.
4.    Strategic Planning:
•    Collaborate with company leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for the service department.
•    Identify opportunities for expansion, process improvement, and increased efficiency.
•    Set departmental goals aligned with the company's overall objectives and monitor progress towards these goals.
5.    Quality Assurance and Compliance:
•    Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
•    Implement quality control measures to maintain service excellence and minimize errors or defects.
•    Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
6.    Resource Management:
•    Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory control for the service department.
•    Optimize utilization of resources to maximize efficiency and profitability.
•    Evaluate and recommend investments in tools, equipment, and technologies to enhance service capabilities.

7.    Relationship Management:
•    Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
•    Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to support business growth and customer acquisition.
8.    Reporting and Analysis:
•    Prepare regular reports on departmental performance, trends, and opportunities.
•    Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a service manager, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and industry standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of building codes, permits, and regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Requirements:

 5 years of experience in similar role

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Pass background check and ability to obtain government badges. 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
