Job Description

Assistant Teachers support the development and implementation of a quality educational program reflecting the goals and values of the school. They contribute knowledge and insight, ideas and creativity to the teaching team. They bring a love of children and of learning and commitment to introducing children to a supportive, creative environment and is well versed in child development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Curriculum planning and instruction based on the MJCC ECC curriculum benchmarks and guidelines, the TN Early Learning Standards, NAEYC guidelines and additional supplemental resources according to developmentally appropriate practice and school values.
Maintain a cheerful, nurturing, healthy, safe, clean and fun environment
Communicate with parents, teachers and staff in a respectful and effective manner
Work towards increasing knowledge and abilities in the field of early childhood education, Judaism, and related fields
Knowledge of Jewish culture, Hebrew or a willingness to learn
