Database Administrator

In this role, and as part of our Network Operations team, you’re responsible for the daily management and maintenance of our database systems. This includes maintenance and improvement of existing QuickBase applications, new process, change solution development, tracking and reporting of multiple projects and their respective milestones. This DBA will work onsite in Fort Morgan, Colorado, but will also travel regionally for work.

Role and Responsibilities

• Implement database technologies and disciplines.
• Create and maintain replication strategies between various database environments.
• Create network change controls, analyze, change request process and enhancements.
• Identify user access levels.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to develop business processes and automate manual work.
• Documentation of application configuration, customization, and integration.
• Continuously review and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of internal processes, tools, and systems.
• Understand the business process and how to apply a technical solution.
• Maintain and improve existing departmental apps.
• Provide user support and data queries for departmental apps.
• Deliver working documentation for teams and provide training.
• Ensure industry-wide security standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered
• Minimum 5 years telecommunications experience
• IP and routing experience a plus
• Experience with related industry software, Streets and Trips, MapInfo, QuickBase, AutoCAD, SharePoint, Google Earth.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office
• Experience with Query and Database Optimization techniques.
• Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history for the past 3 to 5 years
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks. Including drug screen, criminal background, and MVR.
• Must have the ability to travel 25 to 40% of the work week
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to train new users.
• Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, and a great team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate, review and create workflow.

The pay for this position has an anticipated starting range of $25 to $35 per hour. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and industry experience.
