STACKER

Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Stacker for our Egg Processing Plant in Hudson, CO. This position is responsible for stacking packaged eggs by order (with or without the use of a robotic palletizer), onto pallets whether in cases or baskets, stacked ensure maximum quality of the product. Keep completed orders in an organized form in the staging area coming off the tape machine. Confirm that all cases are properly taped and properly labeled before loading on to the pallets.

Position Responsibilities:

• Keep up with box flow coming from taper
• Place boxes or crates on correct pallets by item number
• Be observant; understand how to stop case conveyor to avoid taper jams· Understand how to stop or reset the tape machine and no-tape alarm. Watch for cases that are not taped or orientated properly and correct issue.
• Pack egg cartons or flats into the correct boxes or crates
• Build open skids of graded product, both pulp and plastic
• Rotate and substitute into other positions as needed
• Communicate with the Processing Management for the proper completion and staging of each order.
• Responsible for carrying out food safety and quality duties and following the SQF polices/ procedures as it relates to their job duties.
• Will report any food safety and quality issues/concerns to their manager and/or quality team.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Report any equipment failure immediately to the Processing Management.
• Keep work area safe, neat, and clean at all times.
• Perform all other tasks as requested by management.
• All personnel are responsible to report any potential food safety issues, take immediate corrections and inform the designated management personnel with authority to initiate corrective actions.

Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

• Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
• Requires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
• Must be able to establish and maintain good relationships and communication with co-workers
• Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Able and willing to work Overtime as needed
