Job description

General Description

The Lumber Stacker shall work to ensure all actions reflect the company culture, meets or exceed company standards, and values and working environment reflects that as outlined by the Department Manager. The Lumber Stacker will primarily stack lumber of variable lengths and widths of lumber manually into carts in an ergonomic fashion that is efficient and productive while supporting the safety mission and standards as outlined at Kennebec Lumber Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Stack Lumber into carts following specific guidelines.
  • Fixing Tags onto finished packs of lumber
  • Strapping packs/bundles of lumber with a strapping device
  • Understand measurements.
  • Ability to use a handheld tablet to enter data for lumber packs/bundles.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all coworkers and management and
  • follow up as needed on recommended training and follow up items.
  • Participate, Motivate, Support, and Implement on site safety practices and culture.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Push & Pull (lumber maximum 70 lbs. into and out of carts)
  • Push & Pull rolling lumber carts (up to 3โ€™x4โ€™x16โ€™ lumber)
  • Push & Pull over 70 lbs. (push & pull with 2 people when required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Repetitive motion
  • Pinch/Grip with hands/fingers
  • Stand for long periods of time
