Plant Accounting Manager

First Call Professional is searching for a mid-senior level accountant to fill an Accounting Manager role for a manufacturing client located in Franklin, IN. This role will manage the accounting and cost control activities within the plant

Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the manufacturing plant accounting department.
• Leads plant and company efforts in the preparation of the annual operating budget.
• Prepare and update key performance indicators daily to evaluate plant performance.
• Reconcile inventory and investigate existing problems; assist in taking the physical inventory.
• Prepare plant and company forecasts each month.
• Close books at month end in compliance with all governmental regulations, and issues company required financial reports.
• Lead and participate in small group activities that are focused on continuous improvement and plant/company profitability.
• Oversee entry of product standard costs into company system(s).
Qualifications
• This job requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.
