Role Overview

As a Junior Integration Engineer at Innovu, your main responsibility is the creation of custom ETL pipelines designed to ingest raw data for processing within our data analytics platform. While this role requires the ability to work independently, it also requires successful collaboration with other members of our engineering and operations teams. This role draws on your ability to creatively solve problems while being resourceful and organized.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and document ETL pipelines and workflows using Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle)
• Maintain repositories using Git and GitLab
• Communicate work in a manner that is easily understood by team members and other operational departments
• Collaborate with team members to onboard complex data sets across disparate sources
• Function as an integral component in the process of onboarding new data sources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Team-based and collaborative work ethic
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a commitment to learn new tools and technologies
• Strong organizational skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with ETL concepts and tools, particularly Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) and/or Talend Open Studio for Data Integration
• Hands-on experience with medical data
• Experience querying PostgreSQL or other RDBMS programs
• Familiarity with maintaining repositories using Git and/or GitLab
• Experience with Linux environments and navigating them via the command line interface
