Job description


The Director of Sales & Marketing Analytics is responsible for defining and executing the analytics strategy that enables data-driven decision making across ABM's Sales and Marketing organizations. This role serves as the strategic analytics leader for the commercial business, delivering trusted reporting, actionable insights, predictive forecasting that improve revenue growth, sales productivity, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
The Director will build and lead a team responsible for reporting, business intelligence, root cause analysis, forecasting, and decision science. This leader will partner closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to ensure business decisions are supported by accurate, timely, and actionable analytics.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, executive communication skills, and deep expertise in translating complex data into measurable business outcomes while driving the continued maturity of Sales and Marketing analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing executives to identify opportunities that improve revenue growth, pipeline performance, customer acquisition, sales productivity, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Translate analytics into actionable business recommendations that influence strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develop executive scorecards and performance measurement frameworks that provide visibility into commercial performance.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making across Sales and Marketing leadership.

Organizational Leadership
  • Establish the operating model, delivery framework, and governance processes for the team.
  • Develop mentoring, and succession plans to grow organizational capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and business partnership.
  • Establish standards for analytical quality, stakeholder engagement, and execution excellence

Analytics Delivery
  • Own the end-to-end portfolio of Sales & Marketing analytics products, including executive dashboards, operational reporting, forecasting models, decision support tools, and business performance analyses.
  • Develop and scale enterprise-grade reporting capabilities that provide a trusted single source of truth for Sales and Marketing performance.
  • Lead the development of predictive forecasting models, customer segmentation, pipeline analytics, marketing attribution, and revenue performance analysis.
  • Drive a rigorous measurement discipline to track analytics analysis/reporting product performance, quantify business value delivered, and inform continuous refinement of models and reports.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Marketing Operations to embed analytics into business processes and reporting platforms, including Salesforce, Marketo, Power BI, and Snowflake.
  • Establish performance measurement processes that evaluate the effectiveness, adoption, and business value of analytics products and reporting solutions.

Data Governance & Analytics Standards
  • Establish governance for Sales & Marketing data, business metrics, KPI definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of commercial data across Salesforce, Marketo, Power BI, Snowflake, and related Sales & Marketing platforms.
  • Develop standards for analytical methodologies, forecasting approaches, metric definitions, and performance measurement.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve the availability, reliability, and accessibility of commercial data used for analytics.

Operational Excellence
  • Prioritize analytics initiatives based on strategic value, business impact, and stakeholder needs.
  • Establish KPIs that measure analytics adoption, forecasting accuracy, reporting effectiveness, and business outcomes.
  • Continuously improve analytics delivery processes, reporting automation, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Master's degree in Analytics, Decision Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field preferred.

Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, decision science, business intelligence, or commercial analytics.
  • 5+ years leading analytics teams supporting Sales and Marketing organizations.
  • Proven success building, scaling, and leading high-performing analytics organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive Sales and Marketing leaders to influence strategic business decisions.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in commercial performance through analytics and decision support.
