Job description

Description
Location: Remote, USA
How You'll Contribute to Our Mission
At Frontline Education, our vision is simple: Every school thriving. Every community stronger.
Our mission is to transform how schools work, so every educator and student succeeds.
Frontline Education is a leading provider of software solutions designed to help K-12 school systems manage their human capital, business operations, and student data with greater insight, efficiency, and impact. Serving more than 10,000 districts nationwide, we empower school leaders with the tools, information, and guidance they need to make informed decisions that positively influence staff, students, and communities.
About the Data & Analytics Business
Frontline's Data & Analytics business is a standalone unit dedicated to unlocking the full potential of district data. Our analytics platforms give school systems the clarity and confidence to move from information to action, enabling smarter, faster, and more transparent decisions across every dimension of district leadership.
The Data & Analytics suite includes:
  • Business Analytics, helping district finance and operations leaders forecast, plan, and optimize resource allocation
  • Comparative Analytics, providing districts with benchmarking data to measure performance relative to peers
  • Student Analytics, which turns academic and engagement data into actionable insight for improving learning, equity, and achievement
  • Location Analytics, which leverages GIS technology to visualize student, staffing, and facility data on interactive maps for strategic boundary and resource planning

Together, these solutions help district leaders make sense of their data, communicate clearly, and act confidently.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Data & Analytics Sales to join our growing Data & Analytics business. Reporting to the Managing Director, Data & Analytics, this role serves as a cabinet-level leader within the business and is responsible for one of Frontline's highest-performing sales teams. This position is based from a home office with travel throughout the assigned territory.
About the Sales Motion
The Data & Analytics sales team is consistently among the highest-performing organizations at Frontline. The team operates a highly outbound-focused motion with a 1:1 Account Executive to Sales Development Representative ratio, where SDRs drive proactive prospecting efforts to open and advance opportunities.
The motion is well optimized, with leads that typically close within 20 days and a strong win rate. We sell exclusively to K-12 public school districts. Most solutions are sold to district CFOs and Superintendents, while Student Analytics solutions are also sold to Directors of Curriculum and Instruction. These senior, technically sophisticated buyers expect a high level of subject matter expertise and credibility from the sales organization.
The business is actively evolving from a software-enabled services model toward a SaaS model. This leader will help the team effectively position both product and Advisory services value while supporting the continued evolution of the sales motion as the business scales.
Our Advisors are typically former district CFOs and Superintendents who coach clients on product usage, support custom analyses, provide thought leadership, and help craft narratives for high-stakes engagements such as board meetings and budget presentations. This role requires a clear understanding of how Advisory services strengthen the overall value proposition.
Success in this position requires effective orchestration of multiple lead-generation channels, including outbound-focused SAEs and SDRs, Advisors, Marketing, and Events, while maintaining the rigor and accountability required in a high-velocity sales environment.
How You'll Drive Success
Sales Leadership & Team Management
  • Recruit, train, retain, and lead a high-performing Data & Analytics sales organization, including Senior Account Executives (SAEs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)
  • Sustain and optimize the team's highly productive outbound sales motion
  • Serve as a coach and advisor while fostering a positive, engaging, and results-oriented environment
  • Conduct weekly one-on-ones, quarterly territory reviews, and quarterly performance feedback sessions
  • Take progressive or immediate corrective action when necessary
  • Ensure SAEs and SDRs build and maintain an accurate pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Monitor outbound activity metrics, pipeline health, and quota attainment
  • Hold the team accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Support SAEs and SDRs in closing large or complex opportunities with senior district executives

Sales Planning & Reporting
  • Build and refine sales processes that support a high-velocity outbound motion
  • Lead territory design, territory alignment, outbound sequencing standards, compensation planning, hiring strategies, and career progression frameworks
  • Develop sales tools, outbound playbooks, and messaging frameworks
  • Enable SAEs and SDRs to prospect, qualify, and close business effectively
  • Develop activity reporting and forecasting processes that provide weekly visibility into team performance
  • Report team performance metrics to the Managing Director, Data & Analytics and Frontline Sales Leadership
  • Accurately forecast bookings on a monthly and quarterly basis

Team Engagement & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate across departments and business functions to advance Data & Analytics performance objectives
  • Drive performance management processes and professional goal alignment across the team and territory
  • Partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization to support growth and customer success

What You Bring to Help Us Grow
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales management experience, preferably within a SaaS or software-enabled services environment
  • Experience managing through a SaaS transition is strongly preferred
  • Experience selling to public sector organizations or K-12 school districts is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with CFO-level and executive buyers
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency using CRM platforms to manage sales activity, preferably Salesforce
  • Proven success leading a blended outbound sales organization consisting of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives in a coordinated 1:1 model
  • Demonstrated ability to drive SDR productivity and pipeline generation
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build confidence with technically sophisticated buyers, including district CFOs and Superintendents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Detail-oriented approach to planning and execution
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service and trusted client relationships

What You'll Need to Thrive
  • Ability to lead through growth, change, and business transformation
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, outbound-driven sales environment
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on coaching and execution
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Customer-focused decision-making and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% or as needed
