The Digital Workplace Team at American Express is entering into a new phase of technology transformation driven by opportunities to improve Colleague experience, raise productivity and collaboration, and drive operational efficiency of all service and infrastructure operations.
American Express is committed to delivering the world's best colleague digital experience. As part of the Digital Workplace organization, we measure what matters-ensuring that our technology investments drive meaningful adoption, engagement, and value realization across the enterprise.
We are seeking a Data Analyst who brings strong analytical rigor, business curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights. This role will play a critical part in supporting enterprise reporting, adoption measurement, and scorecard development across key digital workplace initiatives.
It is ideal for a practitioner who is comfortable working with large datasets, synthesizing insights into compelling narratives, and partnering closely with product, research, and leadership stakeholders to inform strategic decisions
You are analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated by uncovering patterns in data that help teams make better decisions. You enjoy transforming raw telemetry and usage data into clear insights that influence outcomes. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across multiple data sources to tell a cohesive story.
You balance technical proficiency with business acumen. You know that data alone isn't enough-impact comes from clarity, context, and communication.
If you enjoy combining analytical depth with strategic storytelling, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
As part of our integrated colleague experience team, you will provide analytical expertise to measure program success, inform executive reporting, and support data-driven decision-making across digital workplace initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Analyze adoption, engagement, and behavioral telemetry data to assess product performance and value realization
  • Develop and maintain executive-level scorecards and reporting frameworks aligned to program success metrics
  • Partner with Power BI developers and data engineers to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through exploratory data analysis
  • Translate complex findings into clear, concise insights tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support quarterly business reviews and leadership updates with data-driven narratives
  • Establish and document measurement methodologies and definitions to ensure reporting consistency
  • Collaborate with UX researchers and product teams to connect quantitative signals with qualitative insights

Qualifications
  • Proven experience analyzing large datasets and generating actionable insights
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with telemetry, usage analytics, or enterprise software adoption data
  • Ability to create executive-ready dashboards, visualizations, and reports
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business implications
  • Solid understanding of descriptive statistics and foundational analytical concepts
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in product, technology, or operations environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Growth Mindset - You are committed to continuously improving your analytical craft. You seek opportunities to deepen your technical expertise while strengthening your ability to influence decisions through insight and storytelling.
