Senior Business Analytics Developer with SPX Corporation (Charlotte, NC)
Responsible for the SPX Corp business analytics applications architecture and platform design. This role serves as the lead in recommending and implementing technology and process standards within the Business Analytics environment. Hands on role will also be a lead support and development resource for new and existing BA solutions across a diverse set of individual SPX Business Units. Formulate and recommend standards for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the BA ecosystem and participate in the planning and migration of new and legacy BA systems and infrastructure. Work with business groups and technical teams to develop value added applications. Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability. Develop scalable and maintainable BA applications to meet business objectives. Develop security and authentication standards for the BA environment. Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents. Define BA standards, guidelines and best practices for business groups and technical teams. Translate business needs to technical specifications. Design, build and deploy business solutions (e.g. Qlik Sense Applications). Maintain and support Qlik Sense data analytics platform. Evaluate and improve existing business analytics systems. Collaborate with teams to integrate systems. Provide expert guidance on Business Analytics (BA) skills and technologies.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years' progressive, post-bachelor's experience as Qlik Sense Developer, Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, or related. Employer will also accept Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 3 years' experience as Qlik Sense Developer, Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, or related. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Data mining and data warehouse design for dimensional modeling; Qlik Sense and Qlik View; ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) process; Extracting data from SAP, IFS, Salesforce and JDE; RDBMS such as MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle and HANA; Delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions; Agile software development lifecycles and methodologies; and supporting BI tools upgrades in production and non-production environment.
