Maintenance Technician - Second Shift

Fresh Baguette is expanding its maintenance department!

Fresh Baguette is an artisanal, authentic French bakery with production centers in Rockville and Germantown, and several retail storefront locations in the Greater Washington DC area. We are looking to expand our maintenance department with the addition of several technicians over the course of the next year. This expansion also includes beginning a second shift.

Job description:

Fresh Baguette is increasing his maintenance team to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises and machinery for our production centers and stores. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as, HVAC installations, walk-in cooler/freezer, oven, mixer, plumbing etc.

Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Upgrade equipment.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Use and implement CMMS
• Communicate with efficiency if the software Team.

Schedule :

The following timetables are indicative and provisional. They are subject to adjustments anytime. 

• Workday time from Monday to Friday up to the first couple months to be trained and autonomous.
• From Tuesday to Saturday (30-minute lunch break)
• Second shift = 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM 
• Sunday and Monday OFF

Requirements:

• Driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) will be a plus
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
• Works well independently and with others
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• EPA universal certificate mandatory
• first aid, low-voltage safety, OSHA, and/or any other relevant certificates are a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, and with a sense of urgency when required.
