Back Counter Parts Advisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers
• Handle orders and requests for parts efficiently and accurately
• Answer questions and assist them in identifying and obtaining needed parts
• Ensure parts are charged to repair orders and invoices
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
• Continue knowledge of Audi products and services by training on-the-job and participating in educational and development programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Automotive background required
• Audi and VW experience preferred
• Must be able to work assigned scheduled hours
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Prior parts counterperson and/or dealership experience needed
• Car enthusiast or mechanically inclined
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and great work ethic are a must
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work in a fast-paced work environment
• Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of dealership management systems, ADP/CDK a plus

COMPENSATION:

The Parts Advisor Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $18.00 and $26.00.  The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

Compensation depends on experience; this position pays hourly plus monthly bonus based on department gross profit. Estimated annual pay range; $37,440-$75,000.
