The Sales Manager's primary responsibilities include achieving growth and hitting sales targets, building and promoting strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs while detailing all events to maximize sales. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable environment.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet weekly goals for revenues, solicitations and outside sale calls.
  • Uncovers and cultivates new sales opportunities by making solicitation calls, emails and participating in outside sales calls/blitzes.
  • Prepare and conduct customer site inspections.
  • Negotiate rates and pricing with clients.
  • Coordinates verbally and in writing with customers the details of an event.
  • Liaison between hotel and customer through the sales process.
  • Makes presence known to customer during business hours or when business demands.
  • Create event proposals, menu proposals, group resumes and BEO's for clients.
  • Social Media/ Marketing as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Available to solve problems, answer questions and/or suggests alternatives to previous arrangements.
  • Works with front desk and banquets in solving operational challenges that might arise.
  • Attends BEO and Resume meetings as business demands.
  • Assist with recruitment and training of new sales associates.
  • Create and follow-through with monthly action plans.
  • Responsible for overseeing that the sales coordinator is fulfilling their job requirements.
  • Attend monthly sales meeting and contribute to the discussion based on meeting agenda.
  • Actively participate in monthly managers meetings and prepare reports to present as ask by the DOSM

Sales, Hotel and Catering experience and must be detail oriented. Delphi and Opera experience a plus.
