GA Rogers & Associates is partnering with our growing client who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will work alongside leadership and be able to make an immense impact!
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the following accounting functions, focusing on the Expense side of the house with monthly and quarterly close, accruals, GL reconciliations, intercompany allocations, balance sheet and income statement analysis.
There will also be opportunity to take on ad-hoc projects and streamline processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage the accurate execution of month-end close
Prepare reconciliations of all accounts required for divisional and group reporting {cash, prepaids, fixed assets, AP, accrued expenses, revenues / expenses}
Prepare monthly journal entries
Accountable for meeting all month-end closing deliverables and preset deadlines
Prepare supporting schedules and ad-hoc analysis according to monthly close schedule
Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and report unusual or significant variances
Work with external auditors to provide support through audits and bank reporting
Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure supporting documentation
Experience you offer:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting is required
3-5+ years of experience in accounting or related role, public accounting experience is a plus
Solid understanding of GAAP
Additional experience:
Experience with financial systems a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong with Microsoft Excel *
Experience with Acumatica or Kyriba +
Highly detailed, organized and ability to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and leadership.
