About Us: The Holzschuh College of Business Administration is committed to excellence in business education and innovation in the food industry and supply chain management. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Food Industry Faculty Fellow and Robert B. Wegman Director of Food Industry Innovation and Supply Chain Excellence.

Job Description: The Food Industry Faculty Fellow and Robert B. Wegman Director of Food Industry Innovation and Supply Chain Excellence will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our food industry and supply chain programs. This position combines instructional responsibilities with leadership and administrative duties, providing an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our students, curriculum, and industry engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and Instruction:
  • Teach four food or supply chain-related courses each semester, engaging students in critical analysis, practical application, and innovative thinking.
  • Develop and deliver engaging course materials, incorporating industry trends, case studies, and real-world examples to enhance student learning and understanding.

Director of Food Industry Innovation and Supply Chain Excellence:

  • Manage the food industry curricula, ensuring alignment with industry standards, emerging trends, and best practices in supply chain management and innovation.
  • Advise students on academic and career-related matters, providing mentorship and guidance to help them achieve their goals in the food industry.
  • Organize and participate in food-related activities such as field trips, conferences, competitions, and study abroad trips, providing students with valuable networking and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Assist in organizing food and supply chain industry summits and other related events, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create impactful and engaging experiences for students and industry professionals.
  • Work with admissions and the External Director to assist with recruiting efforts, promoting our programs to prospective students and facilitating their transition to the College of Business.
  • Assist in the creation of written materials for the food programs, including marketing materials, program guides, and promotional content.

Student Enrichment and Industry Engagement:

  • Organize student enrichment activities such as bringing in external industry speakers, coordinating mentorship opportunities, and facilitating internships to enhance students' understanding of the food industry and supply chain management.
  • Foster relationships with industry partners, collaborating on research projects, internships, and other initiatives to support student learning and career development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or related field required; PhD preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
  • Industry experience in the food industry or supply chain management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional development.
  • Commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in business education.
