POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for spearheading marketing efforts for Thorne’s suite of products. The position will understand the target audience’s challenge and explain how Thorne products can solve the problems. From determining positioning, product naming, competitor analysis, and managing launch plans, this role will help shape the voice of the product. The role will work with a cross functional team across sales, marketing, legal, medical, product, and more to manage the product roadmaps, organize launches, pricing strategy and create marketing campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job

  • Develop product messaging that differentiates products and services from others in the market.
  • Lead strategy and execution of new product launches including marketing plans, product assets, and launch communications across channels.
  • Provide insight into future product launch plans by working alongside the marketing, R&D, engineering departments to develop product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the industry with competitive analyses and customer landscapes to shape our product marketing programs.
  • Own and manage the creation of product content including, but not limited to, web content, data sheets, infographics, tutorials, pitch decks, product videos, release announcements, etc.
  • Evaluate product performance and identify opportunities to increase product conversions using relevant data, customer feedback, reviews, and KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to grow revenue and adoption rate from the existing and new product portfolio.
  • Study company products and translate the medical and scientific details into benefits for the consumer.
  • Manage the lifecycle of Thorne’s product portfolio by working with a cross functional team to identify products that should be discontinued, renamed or reformulated, to ensure Thorne has a healthy pipeline of new products and core products.
  • Own the product marketing budget for key product launches.
  • Collaborate with channel owners on product positioning for key products to help refine the messaging for products per each of the target segments.

What You Need:

Experience and/or Education: By training, education, and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 5+ years of product marketing experience required, to include launching new products and building foundational assets (e.g. positioning, messaging, and launch collateral).
  • Excellent organizational skills with avid attention to detail and follow through.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex subject matter into easily understood descriptions.
  • Growth mindset, always thinking about new ways to reach more people while adhering to brand values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Skills: Employee can use the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.
  • Develop and deliver on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and engage others in a positive manner.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Raise issues and concerns promptly.
  • Document and present work in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possess knowledge of the computers and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the job.

  • Prior agency experience a plus


Physical Demands:

  • Able to work in front of a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a stationary position as well as move about unassisted. Must be able to hear and converse with supervisors and other employees. Must be able to read large volumes of printed material. Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment.
