Job Title: Software Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides all duties as required as part of the Information Technology department to maintain and enhance systems support service in support of customer requirements and Integra’s goals and initiatives. Proactively identifies what needs to be developed, how it needs to be developed and establishes appropriate timelines, involving the appropriate key stakeholders as needed. This position is located in Wichita, Kansas. You must be able to work on site full time. Due to ITAR Compliance regulations, you must be a US Citizen or a green card holder. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Master an understanding of our business model and its relation to our current data systems.
  • Act as a technical design resource for cross-functional team projects. Work with IT Business Analysts to develop technical design specifications appropriate to IT Development Team using Agile Methodology.
  • As appropriate, design technical specifications to allow parallel development paths and initial development by the Solution Architect. Provide initial technical design documents to the development team.
  • Review all enhancements for technical and business process feasibility and provide feedback to project owners when it is not.
  • Determine and maintain development standards and coding practices based on industry standards. Work with the Development team manager to implement revisions.
  • Review the finished project, verify technical documentation and authorize deployment of production solution.
  • Cross-functionally coordinate with IT Business Analysts/Training team for training plan and initial support of training materials/sessions.
  • Research new methodologies and/or industry tools to provide additional functionality or improved tools within solutions.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing, improve existing computer systems, and suggest other possible solutions.
  • Confer with coworkers of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data can best be summarized, and desired formatting for reports.
  • Study current information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
  • Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
  • Provide mentoring, support, and guidance to less-experienced members of the IT team. This will include working with IT Development Manager to provide training materials for the team.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred; however, a combination of education and experience wherein the skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities and functions have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.

Experience: A minimum of 6 years of advanced experience in PL/SQL, Java/JavaScript, and Oracle Application development is required. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of successful technical design of IT solutions is required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office applications and other computer products and programs.
  • Proficient in Oracle database development utilizing packages, procedures, functions, views and triggers.
  • Must possess a strong ability to complete each of the following:
    1. Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
    2. Interpret a loosely defined feature/request and interact with stakeholders to develop this into a solution that meets requirements.
    3. Decipher, enhance and develop Oracle ADF platform applications utilizing JDeveloper, Java Programming, Java Script, and Groovy expression language.
    4. Decipher, enhance, and develop Oracle Application Express (APEX) applications utilizing PL/SQL, and JavaScript.
    5. Support additional languages such as Perl, Python.
    6. Master a level of understanding of all company dynamics and processes.
    7. Effectively and collaboratively function as a team lead for projects and assign tasks/drive project to completion.
    8. Preemptively identify system flaws or deficiencies and appropriately design patches or revisions to the applications.
  • Critical thinking skills and excellent communications skills are essential.
