Big Woods Pizza in Nashville is looking to hire an Assistant Manager!
The Big Woods Pizza Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the restaurant's operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves collaborating with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, employee performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
Assistant Manager Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Assist in hiring, training, and supervising restaurant staff.
Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address employee concerns.
Customer Service:
Uphold the highest standards of customer service, ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
Address customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Operational Excellence:
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to execute operational plans and strategies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
Oversee the proper functioning of all equipment and facilities.
Quality Control:
Maintain the quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings.
Monitor food presentation, portion sizes, and overall taste to meet or exceed company standards.
Financial Management:
Assist in budget development and management to achieve financial targets.
Monitor expenses, control costs, and identify areas for potential savings.
Support revenue generation through upselling and effective pricing strategies.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff on company policies, procedures, and service standards.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Conflict Resolution:
Address staff conflicts and customer complaints, striving for swift and amicable resolutions.
Act as a mediator in resolving internal disputes or issues among team members.
Team Leadership:
Lead by example, displaying a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional performance.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, sales, and other relevant metrics.
Maintain open and effective communication channels with the management team and staff.
Assistant Manager Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in handling various software tools, including POS systems and Microsoft Office.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and health standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
ServSafe certification preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Serving permit through the State of Indiana.
