Purpose & Impact

The Director of Technology Operations will be responsible for overseeing project management, ensuring proper scoping, managing product owners, driving operations for the technology team, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in technology operations.

What that looks like day to day:

  1. Project Management:
    • Lead and oversee project management activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
    • Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
    • Implement project management best practices and methodologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  1. Project Scoping:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
    • Conduct thorough scoping exercises to accurately estimate project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
    • Ensure that project scopes are clearly defined and aligned with business goals and objectives.
  1. Product Owner Management:
    • Manage product owners and facilitate communication between product teams and stakeholders.
    • Work closely with product owners to ensure that product development initiatives align with business needs and priorities.
    • Provide guidance and support to product owners to optimize product development processes.
  1. Operations Management:
    • Develop and execute policies and practices for the technology organization to drive operational excellence.
    • Establish procedures and protocols for technology operations, including but not limited to, infrastructure management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges and opportunities.
  1. Project Delivery:
    • Take ownership of project delivery and ensure that projects are completed successfully, meeting quality standards and client expectations.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience 5-7 years in a leadership role overseeing technology operations, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a proven track record of driving operational excellence,
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are desirable.
