Set-Up-Man / Technician

Pay: $18/hr.

Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Position Type: Contract to hire

Packaging Manufacturing Company is looking for hard working, motivated, responsible individuals who are looking for long term employment at a fast pace work environment. This role will perform equipment set-up and adjustment on production equipment for converting plastic film into bags. This role will report to a shift lead and work cooperatively with other adjusters, operators, mechanics, QA personnel and others.

Summary of Job Requirements:

• Candidate must have a min of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with machinery. Preferably in the Flexible Packaging Industry
• Perfom minor mechanical adjustments on the POLYETHYLENE BAG MACHINES such as troubleshooting, adjust weak seals, sticking bags, zipper problems, tension control, punches and also quality control adjustments
• Read production orders and converting specifications
• Work with all hand tools
• Candidate should be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. individually
• Position requires bending, stooping, pooling, reaching overhead, heavy manual work, standing and walking
• Good writing and reading skills are required, Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not a must
