YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Cybersecurity Administrator is a hands-on technical administrator responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining a secure network and infrastructure as a member of the Cybersecurity team at Rosendin.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual cybersecurity problems.

  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources. Ensure that all aspects of information technology are properly protected.

  • Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations. Provide 24/7 support and maintenance of the entire core cybersecurity Infrastructure.

  • Implement security improvements by assessing current cybersecurity events; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Experience with investigating, analyzing, and responding to cyber incidents, performing assessments of systems and networks within the network environment. ​

  • Pursue opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining defined service levels.

  • Audit network and telecommunications security to ensure that they are within Rosendin Electric standards.

  • Measure effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities, as well as knowledge of analyzing data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g. IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic log, etc.)

  • Analyze events that occur within our environments for the purpose of mitigating threats, testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure/cloud security hardware and software.

  • Mentor new team members; communicate policies and procedures; and establish short and intermediate term objectives.

  • Identify access and collection gaps that can be satisfied through cyber collection and/or preparation activities and the ability to collect, process, analyze, and disseminate cyber threat/warning assessments.

  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer/Information Science, or related discipline.

  • 4-6 years previous administration experience, preferably in an IS/IT environment.

  • 5-6 years technical experience in a network security focused role including project management and core understanding of Cisco data network hardware, software, environments and technology.

  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Ability to work and travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development.

  • Ability to work normal and/or extended (nights, weekends, holidays) hours to meet established deadlines or emergency response.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under the stress of service interruptions or tight deadlines.

  • Excellent knowledge of telecommunications and computer network procedures.

  • In-depth knowledge of technical telecommunications systems and computer LAN/WAN systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups.

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills required for the position.

  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

TRAVEL:
  • Must be willing to travel 20% (occasionally up to 50%)

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
