Title: Director of Supply Chain
Reports to: VP Warehouse Operations
Classification: Salary / Exempt
As a Director of Supply Chain for a dealer in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, from sourcing and procurement to distribution and delivery. Your goal will be to ensure that the company's supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and able to meet the demands of customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives, including establishing goals for cost reduction, inventory management, and customer service.
2. Sourcing and Procurement: Oversee the Purchasing Team as they Identify and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
3. Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient use of warehouse space while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
4. Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the transportation of goods, including coordinating shipments, managing carriers, and monitoring delivery times and costs. Direct supply chain from supplier to distribution center to store to customer to best fit sales and profit metrics.
5. Customer Service: Ensure that the supply chain can meet customer demand by working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of delivery of products to our customers.
6. Data Analysis: Use data analytics to track and measure supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
7. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, including forecasting costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost control measures.
8. Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of supply chain professionals, including buyers, planners, logistics coordinators, and warehouse personnel.
Requirements:Work Environment
Associates in this position will be working in an environment with these conditions:
· Open & sometimes noisy office atmosphere.
· Occasional work in temperatures up to 95 degrees with some exposure to dust.
· Occasional travel with overnight stays required
Physical Demands
· Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
· Sitting up to four hours at a time.
· View computer monitor up to six hours daily.
· Lift 25-35 lb. boxes approximately 10 times a day. Includes:
o Bending
o Stooping,
o Reaching overhead up to 6ft. high
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires occasional travel.
Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis on supply chain management preferred.
· 2+ years experience with supply chain management, prefer foodservice equipment and supply distribution experience.
· Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) may be beneficial.
