The Position – Location Westlake TX

Zenwork is seeking an exceptional Corporate Controller to lead our Accounting Team. As our Controller, you will lead all the major accounting and reporting functions in our fast-growing company.

Reporting to our CFO, you will oversee the full scope of the accounting function from a people, process, and systems perspective. You will help us drive a strong FP&A function, providing intelligence across the organization and promoting a metrics-driven culture. Being a clear communicator, you will enjoy working with different departments and team members to optimize core financial operating procedures.

This is a hands-on role where the Controller will actively own and complete several responsibilities working with the CFO and accounting team.  Future expansion of the Accounting team will be available after the Controller has been fully onboarded.

What You’ll Do:

• Directly own all major accounting operations for our company including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, revenue recognition and expense management.
• Financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement), general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
•  Oversee our core FP&A function, and lead forecast and budget reporting across the organization.
• Optimize core processes to enable the company to perform quick and accurate monthly accounting closes and deliver US GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Oversee and coordinate year end audit and quarterly reviews.
• Document, and implement accounting processes and procedures for your team; and continuously improve the processes that already exist.
• Act as an administrator for our accounting systems (ERP, A/P, A/R, banking, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal financial controls.
• Oversee tax compliance (Federal, State and Sales) and proper regulatory reporting.
• Promote a culture of innovation and automation, to make us better in everything we do.

We’re Looking for Someone with:

• An active CPA with 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• 5 years of software industry experience as a Controller
• Experience leading of company’s interactions with an independent auditor.
• Advanced experience with NetSuite (3+ years)
• A proven track record of optimizing policies and procedures for a fast-growing organization.
• An analytical, problem-solving approach to set up of systems and procedures.
• A detailed oriented mindset, driven to do things right the first time.
• A high degree of self-motivation, with proven ability to independently establish goals to meet objectives.
• Experience with managing multiple jurisdictions and entities, including foreign locations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management in various departments.

Position is hybrid (3 days a week in office) has a generous benefit package.
