Job Description

Currently ARM, Inc has a great opportunity for a Combustion Aerospace Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking individuals with at least 3-5 years of experience in combustion aerodynamics to join our OEM Automotive Supplier's team ASAP.

What you will be doing:

Analysis and design of combustion systems, including the air flow surrounding the combustor, the fuel injectors, and the combustion chamber itself.
Design for low smoke emissions, a uniform gas temperature pattern throughout the combustor, low gradients in component wall temperatures, high combustion efficiency, low pressure loss, low acoustic pressures, and good ignition and flame stability characteristics over a wide operational envelope.
Provide subsystem performance bids to engine programs and coordinate with the test department to set up and run combustion tests.
Promote the delivery of continuous improvement & the transfer of best practice.
Maintain and improve aerodynamics best practices and methods for the combustion aerodynamic community, working with local and global teams as appropriate.

What we need from you:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in combustion aerodynamics, OR
Master’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in combustion aerodynamics, OR
EXPERT Communication skills - internal and external
You must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
