This position is primarily responsible for processing post-booking collateral and documentation functions for Commercial, Mortgage and Consumer loans after loan booking such as, but not limited to, securing, and releasing collateral, validating insurance, processing construction draws, loan document reviews and paid notes.

As a Post Closing Assistant, you will:

  • Secure and track, as needed, all types of collateral documentation including mortgages, UCC filings and continuations, titles, life insurance, etc.
  • Process paid loans by preparing paid in full letters, releasing collateral, completing file maintenance, and sending required paid in full documentation to the customer.
  • Validate proper insurance coverage and mortgagee/lienholder listing on all new collateral, track insurance annually on required loans and follow up on cancelled insurance policies.
  • Process, maintain and cancel force placed insurance policies and all required letters and documentation.
  • Process construction draws for both Commercial and Residential construction loans.
  • Receive and file all original “critical” loan documents as required.
  • Image and index all loan and insurance documents.
  • Manage the bank’s documentation exception tracking system by adding and clearing exceptions and tracking items as required.
  • Complete various reconciliations and audits
  • Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of Nicolet.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year clerical and/or customer service experience.
  • 1 year loan processing and/or post-closing experience.
