Job Summary: Provides primary, acute and episodic care to patients following accepted standards and protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.*
  2. Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.*
  3. Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.*
  4. Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.*
  5. Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.*
  6. Provide referrals to medical specialists.*
  7. Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.*
  8. Provides patient education as needed.*
  9. Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.*
  10. Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.*
  11. Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.*
  12. Manages personal clinical inbox.*
  13. Attends provider meetings as requested.*
  14. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*
Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.


Certificates and Licenses:

  • State of Colorado Medical License
  • DEA certificate
  • ACLS/PALS certification
  • DOT Certification
  • Level I Work Comp Certification
