Based at our headquarters in North Logan, Utah, you'll spearhead the design of battery systems for eVTOL applications. Collaborating closely with both our valued customers and our talented engineering teams, your focus will be on crafting integrated battery/vehicle designs, overseeing battery system installation, and leading battery management systems.

As Deputy Chief Engineer, you'll take the lead in addressing intricate challenges in electrically powered aircraft battery systems design and installations. You'll be at the forefront of defining concepts for aircraft installation, taking into account a range of competing requirements. Your contributions will play a vital role in planning vehicle integration programs for high voltage battery propulsion systems on air vehicles. Collaborating with certification and systems engineering teams, you'll ensure hardware certification requirements are meticulously defined.

Your strong relationships with external customers will be pivotal in our success. From concept inception to certification and beyond, you'll be the driving force behind the technical execution of vehicle installation programs. You'll collaborate closely with verification and validation teams, ensuring robust engineering and qualification testing to support installation programs.

A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or a related field is required, backed by a solid 10+ years of engineering experience. Your aerospace/aviation leadership expertise, spanning 7+ years, is an asset that will shape our projects. Your experience in complex aircraft systems development and certification sets you apart. You've honed your skills in capturing, managing, and documenting aircraft integration requirements. Complex program leadership, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel up to 20% are all part of your arsenal.

A Master's degree in engineering and experience with aircraft installation of high voltage electric propulsion and energy storage systems would be icing on the cake. Your knack for leading the integration of mechanical, electrical, thermal, and propulsion systems and equipment in aircraft, coupled with your experience in leading STC certification programs, would make you an invaluable asset to our team.

If you're driven to be a part of the future of aviation and push the boundaries of engineering, EPS is the place for you. Take the leap and join us in North Logan, Utah, to shape the skies of tomorrow. Your journey starts here.
